Oiltempered unalloyed or alloyed spring wires for static applications has the symbol "FD".

Oiltempered unalloyed or alloyed spring wires for medium  fatigue resistances is indicated "TD" and are mainly used for clutch springs. Therefore these wires are called clutch spring wire.

Oiltempered unalloyed or alloyed spring wires for difficult and dynamic fatigue resistances are indicated "VD" and are mainly used for valve springs or other high stressed springs. These wires are called valve spring wires.

As a result of increasing demands we offer this valve spring wires only in shaved condition and Super Clean quality. The wires are also produced with higher tensile strength (VDSiCr+V)
